Wired News: "Walk This Way
Has Japan's top telephone company stumbled upon a remote control for humans? An Associated Press reporter who weathered a demonstration of 'galvanic vestibular stimulation,' a technology developed by Nippon Telegraph & Telephone, says she was unnerved by the experience. A special headset sent a low-voltage jolt of electricity from behind her ears through her head, and a joystick-toting researcher controlled the current's path -- and the reporter's. 'I felt a mysterious, irresistible urge to start walking to the right whenever the researcher turned the switch to the right,' she said. NTT says it might incorporate the technology, which works because electricity affects the nerves in the ear that help humans maintain their balance, into video games or amusement park rides.

Peer to Peer Disaster Recovery....
one more thing, i ain't a pirate! i don't say "arggh matey.." or use the word "landlubber". what i am is a social person who uses the internet as an academic means to meet peoples, learn facts and cultures, and have fun.
so if i decide to provide peer to peer disaster recovery services for no cost, then so be it. so yes, take this little gem with you. i just invented Opensource P2P Disaster recovery services. that's when you backup a peer's files and keep them on your PC or other digital device (ie iPod, Palm, etc). so all those mp3s i got, yep, they're backups for my buddies who might have a hard drive crashed and loses all their music. all they have to do is IM me and i'll let them backup their files.
sweet aint it? yep, and it's free. and no one needs to sign a contract cuz it's completely voluntary.
so i'm lookin for backups to all my orginal NES games that my parents tossed in the trash when i went to college. anyone got ROMs out there i can backup?

awesome... just awesome... people need to respect gamers. we're thinking smart and free peoples... dont mess with us buddy...
why can't you just let us be? we want to game, imagine, and have fun... this ain't no cult and we're not being programmed... if you really want crime go after developers who are putting adverts into our games.... or the movie industry for making me sit thru commercials before a movie that i shelled out 10 bucks to go see if a public room with other people... what the hell?? i mean honestly...

Okay, so gun makers aren't responsible for what their guns can make or help people do, but video game makers are totally responsible for forcing kids to violence. I get it now!!

Secret code 'traces copies': "'Even worse, it shows how the government and private industry make backroom deals to weaken our privacy by compromising everyday equipment like printers.
'The logical next question is: what other deals have been or are being made to ensure that our technology rats on us?.'"
